About Us
We began in the ‘90s as an affiliate of The Right Step Inc., using essentially the same model as every other I.O.P. Guided by extensive actuarial research, and using a “hands on” approach, we developed a modality which we believe is far superior to the Minnesota Model.
We recognize that one size does not fit all. Our approach and interventions are based on what works for individual clients, who help direct their own treatment plan. Clients work more when therapists work less, and denial is minimized in a non-adversarial setting. The most common trait of new clients is self-loathing. Interventions which increase negative perceptions are contraindicated by the disorder’s dynamics. We don’t beat on clients, and encourage them not to beat on themselves.

Education:
Ron Earned a Bachelor of Arts at Northwestern State University in Natchitoches, LA. and his Master of Social Work at Tulane University of Social Work in New Orleans, LA.
Ron has been in private practice since 1992. In addition to being sober for more than 20 years, Ron has extensive experience in treating chemical dependency. He has been an EAP provider for Exxon, Shell Oil, Vasquez Mgmt. Consultants, Corp-Care, Mental Health Network, The Veteran’s Administration, Reynolds Metals and MCC (Cigna).
Following Graduate school Ron was an in-patient counselor social worker at Silkworth Treatment Center of Parkland Hospital, where he later became the hospitals admissions director.
